The five members of JJ and the Hooligans work hard to create a playlist that mixes the best of Rock, Blues, Americana, and Pop with faves from their college days, re-invented classics, and some tunes that you may still hear in heavy radio rotation. The result is a fun, eclectic, and very danceable sound!
Jay Galvan Heneghan is a classically-trained pianist who joins the Hooligans as a Pop/Rock/Blues/Second Line/Americana singer that can play a mean tambourine. Don’t make her pick her favorite genre — she loves them all!
Tom Rheam was born in Pennsylvania to a trumpet-playing father and a mother who was a pianist. He plays both (and sometimes at the same time). He left college to go on the road with the Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra and has played for Glenn Miller Orchestra, Buddy Rich, Ray Charles, various Tommy Dorsey bands, Aretha Franklin, Four Seasons, Frank Sinatra, Billy Eckstine, Temptations, Tops, Smokey Robinson and Leo Maes.
Pete White was born in Santa Fe and has been singing and playing guitar in different groups for over 25 years. He is playing more music and enjoying performing now more than ever.
Ben Baur grew up playing drums in Boulder, San Diego, Berkeley, San Francisco, Albuquerque and, for the last 18 years, Santa Fe. He is still growing up (more or less), and still playing percussion.
John Perado has been a performing musician for over 30 years in the blues, jazz, rock genres, beginning all the way back to his elementary school orchestra where he played violin and cello. He has performed from Dallas, Texas to Las Vegas, Nevada and many points in between and has also performed with many of Santa Fe’s best musicians.
